Water technology

Ancient History orders human cultural evolution by the most common devices, those more resistant surviving until our era. Thus a fundamental division is between the Paleolithic and Neolithic Ages, literally "old-stone" and "new-stone", and later, as the age of metals: Chalcolithic or "copper-stone", also known as the "Copper Age" and the following "Bronze Age" and "Iron Age". These classifications, however, should not make us forget that the civilising process also developed in the technology of water management, even more decisive than those for other cultures and civilisations which conceived those achievements.
